Common Questions
What families often want to know
What does Rooted Learners provide?
Rooted Learners provides personalized reading intervention and educational support led by Krista Crouch, a licensed educator and reading intervention specialist.
How is reading intervention different from general tutoring?
General tutoring often focuses on current assignments or broad practice. Reading intervention is more targeted and is designed around specific reading skills that need strengthening.
What ages or grades do you serve?
Krista has direct reading-intervention experience in grades K-4, and the current inquiry form also allows families to describe needs outside that range. Exact fit is confirmed during the consultation rather than assumed from a grade label alone.
How much does support cost?
Rates are discussed after the initial consultation because recommendations depend on the learner's needs and the support being considered. Families receive clear next steps before committing to services.
Do you diagnose dyslexia, ADHD, or learning disabilities?
No. Rooted Learners provides educational support and reading intervention. Diagnosis and formal clinical or psychological evaluation are outside the scope of this service.
Do you guarantee a certain reading level or amount of growth?
No. Every learner is different. Rooted Learners provides individualized instruction and communicates progress, but does not guarantee a specific level, score, or timeline.
What should I include in the consultation request?
A short description of what you are noticing, your child's grade, and your preferred way to be contacted is enough. Please do not submit medical records, school records, diagnoses, or other sensitive documents through the website form.
What happens after I submit the form?
Krista personally reviews the request and follows up to learn more, discuss fit, and explain possible next steps.
